Instructions for importing patch for 2008 special Elections
(Elections for Montgomery and/or Prince George's counties)

Please copy the appropriate file to your local hard disk drive.
If you are participating in the Prince George's special election, you should copy 'Prince_ George_Elections_2008'.
If you are participating in the Montgomery special election, you should copy 'Montgomery Elections 2008'.
If you are participating in both the Montgomery and Prince George's special elections, you should copy 'Both Special Elections 2008'
These files are ONLY for the special elections.  If you are ONLY participating in the Presidential election cycle, you should not follow these instructions.



Start the Maryland Electronic Filing Software (Electrack).
Click on the Tools Menu >> then click Import Admin Tables.
Click the magnifying glass to the right of the blank box.
Using the dialog box, locate and open the appropriate file you copied to your local hard disk drive.
You should now see 'ET_REPORT_TYPES' in the box marked 'Importing Administration Tables'.
Click the purple exclamation point in the tool bar.
You should receive the message 'Administration tables import was successful'.  Click OK. 
Close the window 'Import Administration Tables'.
You are now ready to use the Electrack program for the special election(s).
