Judicial elections differ in several ways from the election of other public offices. Detailed information on how judges are appointed and run for continuance in office for the Court of Appeals, Court of Special Appeals, Circuit Court and District Court is available.
There are 2 Constitutional Amendments and 1 Local Referendum that will appear on the November 4th, 2008 General Election ballot. The Local Referendum will appear on the ballot in the County specified in the legislation. Additionally, local ballot questions may appear on the ballot in certain counties. Once ballot language is available, it will be posted to this site.
